GREAT NEWS ...THE U.S. MILITARY HAS LANDED
This week the U.S. Navy Seabees came to HCCD and have begun working. They are building us a classroom building, a boys kindergarten dorm, and a girls kindergarten dorm. This project has been approved for a long time, but we were afraid to count our chickens as it has been on hold several times because of what is happening in the world.
We have approximately a dozen U.S. Marines as a security force to guard the materials and heavy equipment 24 hours a day. They stay in our volunteer’s building and change with another platoon every four days. They guard our gate and have roving patrols on foot around our property. We feel Very Secure. We have even made Photo ID Cards for all of our staff to get past the gate guards.
The military have already had tons and tons of gravel and sand delivered to our property and the 2 seabees who arrived first have already graded and started filling in the work sites. There will be sixty seabees coming to work on building construction this week. Most of them will come to us. Right now they are hung up in Puerto Rico with aircraft problems. They should be arriving soon.
Needless to say there is a lot of excitement around here and we are happy that the children have gone home for the Easter Holidays.
WE PRAISE THE LORD FOR HIS GOODNESS IN SENDING US THESE NEW BUILDINGS !!!
